Umiyah Clinic, inaugurated in 11th July 2010, is specifically designed to provide maternity services (birthing center) and general out patient services to the poor. The services provided are free of charge or gratis, however, patients may donate small amount of money according to their willingness and ability. The poor patients may put small amount of money into the alms box provided in the clinic. Since its operation in mid July 2010, average poor patient donated about US$ 0.5 per visit. hardly enough to buy medicines provided to them. Development and operational costs were covered through donation (endowment funds, zakat funds and alms).
Umiyah Clinic was developed on the land area of about 1000 m2 which is the waqf (endowement) of RP Jaya family. It is located in Purworejo outer ring road, in Lugosobo village. Umiyah Clinic is built and managed by Ummy Foundation. The Ummy Foundation registered in the Ministry of Justice and Human Right Republic of Indonesia. Under the decree of the Directorate General of General Adminsitration of the Ministry of Justice and Human Right number AHU - 4687.AH.0104/ 2009. The Secretariat of the Ummy Foundation address is in Mayor General Sutoyo no. 107, Purworejo, Central Java, Indonesia.
